Cambridge Carbonates Ltd new reservoir modelling and GIS capabilities

We are pleased to announce that over the past year Cambridge Carbonates has initiated an upgrade of its IT and software solutions, with a view to providing full digital solutions for projects:

  • Transfer of Cambridge Carbonates regional palaeogeography maps of the Middle East to a full GIS format.
  • Purchase of Petrel Licences, which allows Cambridge Carbonates to provide digital databases in addition to written reports:
    • Regional studies integrating wells with facies maps and palaeogeographies
    • Seismic interpretation of carbonate exploration plays
    • Exploration play maps, extraction of seismic attributes and volumes, prospect evaluation complete with risking and full Monte Carlo simulation of expected volume estimation
    • Reservoir characterisation; core logs and cuttings evaluation integrated with wire line logs to generate discrete facies logs that can be used for facies modelling
    • Reservoir modelling; generation of integrated reservoir models for volume estimation, history matching and simulation
  • A new company server that offers secure ftp connections to our customers were working files can be easily accessed and exchanged
