Regional expertise

Cambridge Carbonates Ltd. has had zero staff turn-over since we started, and has thus developed personal expertise by working on a number of key areas over a long period.

• Our work on the Arabian plate goes back to the 1980’s and we have an extensive knowledge of regional hydrocarbon systems and specific reservoir types in Iraq, Iran, Syria and the Gulf States.
• We have worked on the diverse Jurassic to Tertiary carbonate reservoirs in the many offshore and onshore basins in Mexico. Our work has lead to a reassessment of the hydrocarbon potential of the region.
• We have worked on description of the complex karst, brecciated, fractured and terrestrial Cretaceous and Tertiary carbonate reservoirs in southern Italy. This sub-surface work is supported by studies of these reservoirs at outcrop.
• Each member of Cambridge Carbonates Ltd. has a PhD on Palaeozoic carbonates. We have all since expanded our experience with work on the Dinantian and Zechstein of the North Sea area, carbonate-evaporite systems of the Barents Shelf and Palaeozoic carbonates of the FSU and Middle East.
