Dinantian and Zechstein Field Course
We can arrange 1-3 day courses on Dinantian and Zechstein carbonates in the UK. Clients have used these trips to demonstrate reservoir analogues, for training, team building and for overseas colleagues on secondment. Please contact Peter Gutteridge .

Cyprus Field Course
Cambridge Carbonates offer clients fieldcourses in Cyprus. Cretaceous to Tertiary carbonates and clastics are examined, including a spectacular transect from a proximal to distal setting in a carbonate debris flow environment, and also the impressive Messinnian evaporites. The trip also includes examination of Triassic carbonate settings. The fieldcourse teaches skills in reservoir characterisation (sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy and diagenesis), demonstrates the impact of tectonics and enables delegates to experience many carbonate depositional settings and tracing-out how these depositional environments interact.
The fieldcourse is tailored to the clients needs and can range from 4-7 days. The trip can also be supplemented by examination of the World-class Troodos ophiolite.
Please contact Jen Waters for further details.

Carbonate reservoir characterisation workshop
Cambridge Carbonates can offer a ½ to 5 day workshops in Carbonate Reservoir Characterisation. The workshop can be tailored to the specific needs of the clients, or can be provided as a more generic workshop. Subjects that are covered in the generic ½ day workshop include:
- Why carbonate reservoirs are different to siliciclastic reservoirs
- Analogue models for carbonate reservoirs
- Carbonate sequence stratigraphy
- Diagenesis and pore systems in carbonates
- Dual porosity systems
- Translating static data into dynamic data
Please contact Jo Garland for further details.
