This workshop is aimed at geoscientists working in the Zechstein, Barents Shelf, Mexico, Arabian Plate and any other basins that contain carbonate-evaporite systems. It presents an overview of the wide variety of carbonate reservoirs that form in different depositional and sequence stratigraphic settings and emphasises the response of carbonate systems to syn- and post-depositional salt movement. A range of complex diagenesis processes are also a key control of reservoir quality. Evaporites as source rocks are also discussed.
